I met Kayla a few years back at a photography workshop, Kayla also happens to be a pretty fantastic photographer! I just remember thinking how adorable she was! Sweet as pie! We remained in contact as photographers do over facebook and a few sessions here and
there, and for as long as Ive known Kayla shes been in love with Chris. So, when I got an email months and months ago from Chris, introducing himself, and asking me if Id like to photograph their proposal I was so excited!!! I was excited for Kayla because I knew how much she loved this man, and I was excited to be apart of it! Chris and I even met at a Starbucks to run through the proposal, going so far as to act it out!!! Still not sure what all those other customers were thinking.
They day of the proposal I got to Disney a little early, texting Chris where the perfect spot would be to pop the question, getting their location every few minutes etc. When Kayla and Chris walked in I was hiding behind a large family, taking photographs all the while. I followed behind them as they headed towards the castle. I have never been so nervous in my life! I was so so excited for their lives to start together! When Chris popped to his knee in front of the Castle you could hear a giant gasp from everyone surrounding them. “Are they getting engaged”, “Is he proposing?”, “She Said YES!!”. It was emotional and sweet and an incredible moment to witness. Chris, good job man. You worked so hard planning all these details. It was a perfect surprise! Kayla and Chris, I just adore you both so much!!!! Thank you a million times for letting me be there!
After the big question was answered we wandered around the Magic Kingdom for some portraits to remember their big day!
Even some “characters” got involved.
