Let's hear it for New York…. - Jenn Hopkins Photography

I was so excited when I was asked to photograph a corporate function in New York City. This was no ordinary corporate event. This was a weekend getaway for ladies only as a client appreciation celebration. There’s nothing more inspiring then being surrounded by women who are really great at what they do. Here are a few highlights from the awesome trip I took at the beginning of February.

The weekend started out with a self defense class. I had never taken one of these classes before, and it was super empowering, did you know all the items in the bottom left photo can be used as weapons?

Lunch at the Mandarin Oriental, overlooking Central Park, and the amazing Janet Hanson, creator of 85 Broads (an awesome global women’s networking group) spoke about lifes challenges and how having a strong network of women can help you through them.

We headed out on a tour of the Garmet District, where we visited a jewelry shop and watched how they create their pieces, and watched them putting the finishing touches on the pieces Tory Burch was using for her runway show the next weekend.
