Please forgive the above photo. I am avoiding the fact that it is a TERRIBLE photo of myself, but I need it to illustrate a point. Mallory and I go waaaaaaay back. This is me and Mallory at Disney World, circa 1990-something. Again, please forgive this photo. Braces, puffy bangs, and button fly jeans obviously were not the way to go. In lieu of that fact however, is my friendship with Mallory. Mallory and I’s Dads have worked together for years. When we were young they used to always get together and bring the kids since we were all the same age. I loved hanging out with Mallory, and her sister Lisa. (Lisa, if you are out there don’t feel left out. This was the only photo I could find, and your probably thankful since these photos are so lovely of us) We lived on opposite sides of Tampa and didn’t get to see each other much, but we definitely grew up together. 9 years ago both of our Dad’s were transferred to Jacksonville, so we continued to stay in each others lives. A few days ago I was lucky enough to visit Mallory and her new sweet bundle of joy Madelyn in the hospital and I had to bring my camera. I am looking forward to a full on maternity session soon, but for now here are some to hold you all over. This is Mallory’s second little one, and Lisa has three of her own (you all might remember Matthew, and check the blog soon for Mike’s recent 4 year old session) but it really hit me while watching Mallory with her new baby girl how great it is to be able to watch your childhood friends have families of their own! Something so cute about a Daddy and his new little girl. Ryland wasn’t up for photos the short time I was there visiting, so this is the only one I caught of the new big brother.
Welcome to the world baby Madelyn.
