My blog has been neglected lately. I have been in Orlando for a week at my companies big conference and haven’t had time to post. Before I start posting Adam and Shannon’s wedding (check back next week, I had so many photos that I decided to dedicate a week to their wedding) I thought I would wish my Sophie a very happy 5th birthday. While these images might not be the best photographically I wanted to make sure I showed images that truley represent Sophie throughout the past year. Those who know me know that Sophie is the center of my world. I call her my “heart” dog because she fills my heart with so much love sometimes I think it could burst. Sophie is a very special lady. She has more medical problems then most 80 year olds and her medical file is longer than war and peace. Sophie has hip dysplasia, Inflammatory bowel syndrome (which is why I cannot bake her a cake this year), epilepsy and a host of other things she might be embarrassed if I talked about. This is why each birthday is special to me. When she was very young, about a year old, my vet told me that due to all of her medical problems, and the medication she takes as a result of them I would be lucky to have my little “lemon” past her eighth birthday. That’s why I know time with her is precious. So every year on her birthday I make one wish…to get to spend another birthday with her. Here’s to you Sophie girl, have a wonderful birthday!
Sophie and Annabelle (our latest family addition)
I love when Sophie chases lizards. She’s only caught 1 or 2 in her entire life, but she’s just so darn passionate about it :-)
Even with all Sophie’s medical issues she can still catch some air every once and a while.
