When I started my own business I knew right away that I wanted to treat my clients like family. To make sure everything they needed was taken care of, to make sure all of their most imporant moments were captured with love. I wanted them to feel warm and safe around me. I wanted them to be able to forget I was there. To get lost in the moment they were in at that time. To forget there was someone just a few feet away, clicking away. I wanted them to feel like I was their friend. Not a stranger there to be apart of some of the most important times of their lives. With every session, every wedding, every newborn that I photograph, I hope my clients feel this way. But sometimes, your clients become much much more then just clients. I met Gracie and Brian exactly one year before their wedding. We chatted over coffee about their big day, how they met, and how excited they were to start their lives together, we even discovered Gracie and I were both in the same sorority, different schools, but we loved that we shared a common bond. (So much so that Gracie asked me to set my camera down and join the rest of her sorority sisters to sing her off to married life during her reception, I still tear up at this.) We chatted through their engagement session (Parts 1 and 2, thanks to the rain ) We got to know each other through facebook and phone calls. Over the course of a year, Gracie and Brian have become wonderful friends. Such good friends that as I edited their images I kept thinking, “I miss my Gracie girl”. I have never met more sweet, kind, caring and loving people. Gracie and Brian, I cannot tell you how amazing it was to be apart of your day, or to have you both in my life. I cannot wait to capture your family as it grows, and to see the beautiful love story you will write together unfold.
