I almost cried when Sarah asked me to photograph her wedding a year ago. I cried because not only was I excited to photograph her big day, but because Sarah and I were friends before she was my client, and I knew no one deserved a more amazing day then Sarah. Sarah and I were actually coworkers in my previous life as an event planner, and then Sarah actually became my boss. As our work relationship changed, we were still able to have a personal relationship as friends as well, which is no easy task in most corporate offices. Sarah was always so amazingly supportive of my passion for photography, she helped to create opportunities in the office for me to learn more about my passion which is something that I will always be thankful for. Though I am no longer working with Sarah as my boss, I’m my own boss now, she is still incredibly supportive and also an incredible friend! Sarah, I am thankful for our friendship, and even more thankful that you wanted me there on your big day to document it for you and Rob. I’ve never seen you more happy then when Rob walks in a room, and I knew he was the one just as soon as you met him. Rob puts a sparkle in Sarah’s eye, and I’ve seen Sarah do the same for Rob. I know you both were truly meant for each other, and I am so excited that you all have officially started your lives together.
Loved Sarah’s purple shoes!
Love this little series I caught as Sarah and Rob walked back up the aisle.
Funny story, apparently Rob’s family has an inside joke about Elvis, and showing up to special events that happen in their family. So, Rob’s Brothers and Sisters surprised Sarah and Rob with, well, Elvis! I just loved Sarah and Rob’s reaction.
And they lived happily, ever, after…
