Nick & Meredith are Married!!!

everything· Weddings

5 Apr
Ceremony & Reception: Cross Creek Ranch, Dover, FL.
Hair: Holly Nazario with
A Hair Affair
Make-Up: Jess Waldrop
Cake: Alessi’s

Almost 10 years to the day that Nick and Meredith met, they said I do. High School sweethearts are rare these days, but Nick and Meredith have been able to hold on to that love and grow and thrive in it for the last 10 years. Meeting these two you would think they met just yesterday. Their love is still fresh and new and exciting. The way Nick just beams at Meredith, the way they can’t keep their hands off of each other, the sweet way they seem to complete each other, the way Nick cook’s dinner for Meredith almost every night, the way Meredith supports Nick’s “fishing” habit. Everything they do is for each other. So that the other one can relax after a long day at work, so they can laugh and giggle with each other through life’s hard times. I meet so many amazing couples in this career, but I have been so blessed with Nick and Meredith’s friendship these past few months. I have known Meredith since she was a little girl, and through the power of facebook Meredith found me and decided that she wanted to have me photograph their big day! I have never been so moved then when I watched Nick and Meredith, the last song of the evening, dance on the dance floor alone. Just the two of them. Taking in every single sip of their last few moments at the wedding they had worked hard to create. I was emotional because it was an amazing moment to witness, I have never been more thankful for my “job” as I was at that moment. I also couldn’t believe the incredible woman that Meredith has become, and the amazing partner she has chosen to grow old with. Nick and Meredith, your more then clients, your true friends. I am so thankful my camera brought us back together. Love you both, and I hope you enjoy the memories I captured for you all forever.

Nick & Mere have a love for wine, and they got these awesome wine stoppers for their wedding. So I had a little fun with their rings :-)

I love this shot. After this Meredith said “so this is why you have bridesmaids!”. Loved these girls, and its obvious how much they all love Meredith.

While I was hanging out with the Ladies, my awesome second shooter Abbey shot these great images of the Groom and the guys!

Nick & Meredith decided to see each other before hand, to calm their nerves, and to also have a little alone time together, and to take lots of times to get great photos!

Nick surprised Meredith at Christmas time by getting her the Horse and Carriage she had dreamed about arriving in the day of the wedding…sweet man.

I loved this shot of Meredith in the carriage after she said I do…

The Reception details were so fun to photograph!

The Sweetheart Table

Love the emotion that good toasts can bring out…

I’m a sucker for Father Daughter Dances…

And they lived happily, ever, after…

If you have followed me for a minute I am sure you If you have followed me for a minute I am sure you would recognize this woman. When I photographed her Wedding years ago I had no idea how happy I would be to have @mrsmakeitrainka in my life!!!! She is an incredible Woman and Mom and a million other things. She has been such a wonderful friend to me and I am crazy thankful to know her. At our last content shoot (precovid and still with a chill in the air) we had a little fun with some video and I threw together a little something for her with some images I have taken over the years. My edit skills are lacking but it was so fun to create and show another side of her! Shout out to another client and dear friend @shopacutabove @brittneypatty for letting us use your perfect #jaxmural
I had so many caption for this photo of my beautif I had so many caption for this photo of my beautiful couple who married the day before our State sheltered in place. So, lets keep it real. I am one month out from my first post Covid “big” Wedding. I have photographed a few elopements since the world fell apart (in more ways then one..) I am anxious to get back to beautiful gowns, love, laughter, family. With all that has happened in this world in the last few months I realize these events will never be the same, but I see them as reasons to believe in the future, to believe in faith, hope and love.

I have been sheltering in place. I have been hiding from social media. It just became to much. If you know me you know I wear my heart in my sleeve, nothing is ever “just business” it is always personal. I hold peoples worries and fears on my own shoulders right along with mine. My heart was breaking, the industry was falling apart and we started fighting a war that should’ve been over 100’s of years ago. At first I was afraid of not working for months, then I became fearful and afraid for loved ones who were diagnosed with Covid, then I became worried because my beautiful boys mental health will forever be affected by this and I had to choose being a Mother over my business for a short time, then I fell apart when I saw what the world was doing to beautiful humans who deserve every opportunity in life no matter their skin color. I was afraid. Heartbroken. I placed my son in front of every report of protests to reinstate everything I have taught him his whole life. We talked about Americas ugly history. We talked about kindness, empathy, loving people for who they are. He just kept saying “Why?”. I finally said what do you mean “Why”???? He had tears in his eyes and said why would people hurt someone because of their skin color”. Exactly. Why? I will never have the right words. I just know that it is my BIGGEST job to teach this child. Black lives matter, even if he doesn’t see color, and I pray he will always keep his kindness and compassion and continue on to fight for peoples rights.
