Jennie and her family were the second family I had the honor of photographing for this years JDRF Gala. Jennie is one of 5 Mom’s who were chosen this year to be honored at the Miracles in the Moonlight “Mother’s Wish” JDRF Gala this year. On top of everything else Jennie does for JDRF she is also this year’s Gala Chair! Jennie’s son Tyler, was diagnosed when he was much younger with Type 1 Diabetes. As many of you know, my cousin Austin was diagnosed when he was very young as well, and there is just something special about these children. They are always mature, and compassionate and wise beyond their years. Traits brought on by the responsibility having diabetes can be at such a young age. Tyler was no exception. I couldn’t get over Tyler. As a junior in High School he was not your typical teenager. He was sweet and funny, and most importantly loved his Mom, Dad, and little sister and wasn’t afraid to show it!!! My kind of teen! Thank you Jennie and family. Meeting you all was such an Awesome experience!
I’ve mentioned before how I “heart” siblings. They can go from loving your sister, to putting them in a headlock in just a few clicks of the camera.
I love this little series. Dad wanted a photo like this of Jennie in the front, then I thought it would be fun to have a series of all of them together like this, with each as the focus of the photo.
Again, if your feeling generous please feel free to donate to such an awesome cause!! Anything helps!
