When I first met Mabry I was interviewing with her parents for a Nanny job over 7 years ago. I walked in the front door and this tiny little angel came running up to me. She was 2 years old, had a sippy cup in one hand, and had a head full of the tightest ringlets you have ever seen. I was instantly in love. I have never known something was more right then when I interviewed with this family. I loved everything that they were about. They were about time together, family, and love and they made me feel like I was part of that amazing family from day 1. My heart is full of fantastic memories of my time as Mabry’s nanny. There was the time she said her prayers before eating lunch, usually the prayer went “Thank you Jesus for our food, Amen” only one time she switched it around and said “Thank you Jesus for Miss Jennifer, Amen”, There was also the time that she grabbed my curls in her hand and said “One day my curls will hang down just like yours”. This child changed me for the better in so many ways. I had never met a child who felt so much at such a young age. Her heart was huge, even when she was so small. Even though Mabry and her amazing parents don’t live only a few hours away from me anymore, I am still blessed that Mabry and I still have a relationship and I get to steal moments in her very busy life to see her from time to time. Everytime I see her it takes my breath away to see how much she’s grown. Even though the Jonas Brothers have taken the place of Cinderella there are still some things that are the same, Mabry still loves to read, and she still loves to travel, and she still loves her American Girl Dolls. Mabry was my first muse, I used to spend my days trying to capture her sweetness with my camera, and thankfully, she still lets me. Love you Mabs! Can’t wait to see you again!!!
And I am still crazy jealous of those long, thick eyelashes!
