I have been wondering what I would write in this post since the first moment Sophia’s Mom, Ashlee, asked me to photograph her sweet baby girl. Ashlee and I have known each other for a VERY long time, I think we were in middle school when we first met, and cheered on a local youth cheerleading squad together (go Bears!) Ashlee and I grew much closer my Senior year in High School and in our Freshman year at UF we were roomies! I don’t think I could even begin to describe what an amazing person Ashlee is. Her heart is so big and her sweetness is contagious. She brings out the best in everyone that surrounds her, including me. I know that I am a better person because of the time I spent with Ashlee my freshman year. She taught me to always see the light where there might be darkness and to always smile, because you never know whose falling in love with it. She was a friend through good times and bad, and never judged when it might have been “bad times”. Anyone who has ever gone away to college knows, that your first year is a tough one. Full of emotions. Ashlee was a shoulder to cry on when a boy broke my heart, and someone who cheered me on when I took on a new adventure in life. She was a study buddy, a party buddy, and a loyal and honest friend. Unfortuntaley, life took us away from each other and our calls to each other grew far between, so I was SO glad when my photography brought us back together. Ashlee, your family is just as beautiful as you are and I am so glad I got to meet Aaron and Sophia. I remember the nights in the dorm when you would pray so hard for God to send you a soul mate, someone who would make your life complete. I know your prayers were heard because Aaron seems to fit you just right. If the kind of friend you always were to me translates to motherhood, then you are going to be the most amazing Mother. Hope to see you all again soon!

This photo may be one of my favorite family photos ever…

Such a pretty Momma!

WARNING – This is going to be a LONG post! I can just never decide which photos to post for weddings! I was so honored when Kyrie and Brad asked me to photograph their August 16th wedding in Tallahassee, FL. I met Kyrie a few years back when she was attending UNF here in Jacksonville and I was immediately drawn to Kyrie because of her super sweet nature and her love for her little Pug Aida. That love for her sweet girl Aida is what made Kyrie and I fast friends. Poor little Aida had lots of little problems just like my Golden Sophie, we were always able to bond over vet bills
Brad had been in Kyrie’s life for a little while at that point and hearing the way she used to talk about him I just knew that this was “the one” for her. I just love when Groom’s cannot take their eyes of their Bride’s. Brad was that guy! There was so much love and passion in his eyes that I teared up a little behind the camera. Brad and Kyrie, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your big day!!

Some details…

Brad and Kyrie used a Peacock feather as inspiration for their wedding color palette. Here’s a close up of their centerpieces.

With this ring…

It’s a good toast that can make a Bride laugh and cry all at the same time!

First Dance

Brad and his sweet Mom during their dance…

I just love these two photos. I think they really capture Brad and Kyrie. They are such a fun, laid back couple. Kyrie’s face cutting the cake was so funny, and Brad feeding Kyrie with the serving knife, adorable.

and they lived happily ever after…

Here is a sneak peek for baby Cade and his family! MANY more to come so stay tuned!!!

In honor of Florida’s win over Tennessee today I decided to go ahead and post my final JDRF Family photo session which just happened to take place in one of my favorite places on earth. FLORIDA FIELD! When Anastasia asked me if I would mind coming to Gainesville to photograph her family at UF’s stadium I jumped on the opportunity. I never turn down a reason to photograph in one of the most beautiful stadiums in college football! Although, I don’t know what I loved more photographing in Florida Field, or photographing Anastasia and her family. Such an loving and sweet family. Anastasia’s daughter Cassidy was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes but this little sweetheart hasn’t let it slow her down. I couldn’t believe that this little lady is only 8 years old. Such a polite, sweet, outgoing little girl.
