Blue Eyed Girl

I got to spend some time with my little muse Maddie this past weekend. Such a little model this one is! I literally just follow her around and snap as fast as I can. She is always up to something cute. Maddie has this new little cute habit of, as her Daddy says, making you think everything is your idea. She would smile at my camera and I would say “Maddie, do you want me take your picture?” and Maddie replies, “O-tay”. Maddie stares longingly at the swing, “Maddie, do you want me to push you on the swing?”, “O-tay”. I got so many photos I could barely choose for the blog so be ready for a lot of images below! I also want to send out a BIG Thank You to her amazing Mom and Dad for letting me photograph this little angel.

Love those giggles!

I like to call this one “Swing like no one is watching…”

I like to ask Maddie, can you find the (fill in the blank with child’s favorite animal) on my camera? This time it got me the cutest little finger point!

Hopefully this little princess won’t have to kiss to many frogs to find a prince.

Puppy Love

A few posts back I wrote about my parents and how wonderful and supportive they have been while I follow my love of photography. They haven’t, however, been my only support system. I have amazing friends that send me words of encouragement on an almost daily basis. I was able to thank one of those friends this past weekend with some photos of her “son” Bailey. Bailey’s Mom, Kristin, has been a very large part of my life for some time now. We met in college, she became my little sister in my sorority, and my forever friend very soon there after. Kris has been my own personal cheerleader for a long time, I remember breaking up with a boyfriend while in college and Kris dropped all her plans to let me cry all night in her room. She was always there, and she has REALLY been there for me these past few months. Encouraging me to post photos on my blog, helping me brainstorm ideas for photoshoots, helping me recruit kids (and now dogs) so I can practice as often as possible. Thank you Kris. I hope I can be as supportive of you when I stand beside you on your wedding day July 4th!!! To all of my other AMAZING friends that have been behind me on this. I could write a novel on everything that you all have done for me. My heart bursts sometimes to know I have that many cheerleaders out there.

Without further ado, I present to you Kristin and Mark’s sweet son Bailey.

Man, do I love when their ears flop!

A little fun with textures…

  • Amy: I love Bailey's pictures! I wished you live closer and I would let Lola be another model for you. She was tolerant of me with her Christmas outfit so she might do the same for you. The pictures look fab!! (December 17, 2008 4:58 pm)

Good Night Moon

On the way home from work Friday I got a phone call from Kristin…”Jenn, take a picture of the moon, its HUGE”. I couldn’t see the moon at the time, but I told her I would try to take one after I meet my friends and family for dinner. I was driving over the Julington Creek Bridge, and just happened to look over my shoulder and there it was. Kris was right, it was HUGE. So huge that I decided my little camera just might capture it. I pulled off the side of the road, grabbed my camera and walked back over the bridge. I was lucky enough not to have run into the Julington Creek bum (anyone who lives any where near this area knows just who I am talking about, and I SWEAR he lives under that bridge) and managed to grab a quick photo. After I got my shot I walked away thinking about my very favorite childhood book, Good Night Moon. Good nights stars, good night air, good night noises everywhere.

*Click on the photo for the best view, one day I will have a custom blog with large photos, this small size doesn’t do this moon justice*
